IGNOU launching 4 new health programmes

IGNOU, School of Health Sciences (SoHS) is launching 4 new health programmes in association with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Its motive is to create trained health care personnel to improve health care delivery across the country.

Prof (Dr) T.K. Jena of SoHS, IGNOU informed that, a MoU is already signed between IGNOU & MoHFW to develop & launch these programmes.

IGNOU launching the 4 new health programmes are:

  1. Certificate in General Duty Assistance (CGDA)
    1. Eligibility: 12th Pass (Those having 12th Science with Biology could have an option for clinical career progression)
    2. Duration: Minimum: 6 months, Maximum: 2 years
    3. Credits: 18
  2. Certificate in Geriatric Care Assistance (CGCA)
    1. Eligibility: 12th Pass with Science (Those having 12th Science with Biology could have an option for clinical career progression)
    2. Duration:  Minimum: 6 months, Maximum: 2 years
    3. Credits: 20
  3. Certificate in Phlebotomy Assistance (CPHA)
    1. Eligibility: 12th Pass with Science (Those having 12th Science with Biology could have an option for clinical career progression)
    2. Duration:  Minimum: 6 months, Maximum: 2 years
    3. Credits: 20
  4. Certificate in Home Health Assistance (CHHA)
    1. Eligibility: 12th Pass (Those having 12th Science with Biology could have an option for clinical career progression)
    2. Duration:  Minimum: 6 months, Maximum: 2 years
    3. Credits: 18
